1. Fixing & Positioning the Heating Wire

Ceramic sticks have pre-drilled holes or grooves to thread and secure the high-temperature heating wire (e.g., nickel-chromium alloy wire). This prevents the wire from shifting, overlapping, or touching the metal shell of the band heater during operation—avoiding short circuits and uneven heating caused by wire displacement.

2. Enhancing Heat Conduction Efficiency

As a material with excellent thermal conductivity, ceramic sticks quickly transfer the heat generated by the heating wire to the inner wall of the band heater. This allows the heater to uniformly transfer heat to the heated object (e.g., plastic extruder barrels, injection molding machine nozzles), ensuring stable and efficient heating of the target.

3. Providing High-Temperature Electrical Insulation

Ceramic sticks act as an insulation barrier between the energized heating wire and the metal body of the band heater. They maintain reliable insulation even at high temperatures (often above 500°C), preventing current leakage to the metal shell and eliminating safety hazards like electric shocks.
