​​Brittleness:​​

This is the most significant drawback. While ceramic is very hard, it is also ​​brittle​​. They can ​​chip or crack​​ if a hard foreign object (like a small stone) accidentally goes through the grinder, or if they are mishandled during cleaning. Steel burrs are much more forgiving in this regard.

​​Generally Less Sharp than High-End Steel:​​
